What have we been up to?
The Sechelt Chamber has partnered with WorkBC to create a Senior Workshare program to help solve the employment challenges on the coast.
We meet quarterly with Executive Directors of both profit and not for profit organizations to share information, ideas and support programs that help both business and community.
We are working with SCREDO in carrying out a coastwide survey to gather valuable information to develop programs for businesses including Customer Service Excellence and Shop Local initiatives.
We are working with Gibsons and Pender Chambers of Commerce, Roberts Creek Community Association, Sunshine Coast Tourism and SCREDO to develop a coastwide Shop Local education program for both shoppers and businesses.
We have been hosting successful MEETUPS each month hosted by our members to provide networking and information sharing opportunities.
Working more closely with the District of Sechelt to ensure positive relations between the District and business community. Being the voice of business when needed to ensure a viable economy.
We are putting together social media workshops to launch this spring to be offered to our members.
Working with Community Futures providing succession planning workshops for small business.
We are working with the Provincial Government to help find solutions for poverty on the Coast.
We are gearing up for our annual Wine & Taste Gala happening June 8th at the Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens.
