As Sechelt’s most influential business advocate, the Sechelt & District Chamber of Commerce works to ensure a business climate in which Sechelt & District Chamber members, large and small, can compete successfully in the local, regional and provincial marketplaces.
Since 1993, the Sechelt & District Chamber has been advocating to lower your cost of doing business. We work with a network of approximately 200 companies that see the value in such a service and provide the vital support that keeps our access, advocacy, and assistance efforts going strong. As Sechelt & District’s Chamber, we make sure that the business environment of the town continues to thrive.
The Sechelt & District Chamber of Commerce advocates on behalf of your interests before municipal agencies, and through meetups, workshops, and affiliated programs.
The Sechelt & District Chamber is a not-for-profit organization supported through membership dues and contributions. Our advocacy staff and board members regularly with various community organizations and intervenes as needed to advocate for growth, sustainability, and economic wellbeing. We also keep our members informed through newsletters, emails, reports, meetups, workshops, and through personal contacts.
Ed has worked within the BC Credit Union system for over 30 years and now translates that experience and knowledge into a new venture as a mortgage broker with Dominion Lending Centres. He has become well known in the community as a professional who contributes time and energy to the positive growth of Sechelt. Ed and his family have lived in Sechelt for the past 6 years.

Pacific Rim Group
Mr. Henderson is a chartered accountant with almost 40 years of experience in Asia and Canada. He has created successful businesses in the telecommunications, international trade, online sales and investment sectors.
He is Managing Director of The Pacific Rim Group, a business advisory and investment organization with offices in Hong Kong and Vancouver. John lived in Hong Kong from 1984 to 2003 and continues to have business interests there as well as in China and Japan. In 2003, he chose to move to Sechelt, located on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, from where he continues to pursue his passion of creating new and sustainable businesses.
Lucy Clark is the Job Developer at Open Door Group/WorkBC in Sechelt. Lucy has been with Open Door Group since 2013. As a job developer Lucy is always out in the community making contact with local employers and educating them on WorkBC and the programs available, such as Wage Subsidies, Job Grants and tailored services for employers. Working directly with job seekers and assisting them with finding employment opportunities on the Coast.
Part of Lucy’s community connection is to attend Chamber meetings as the Open Door Group representative, and has spoken at Chamber events as well as other community events.
Jessica and her family moved to the Sunshine Coast in July of 2016. She is married to Jordan, they have three boys (Kylar, Dallas, and Parker). They love spending time outdoors, and are focused on bringing up their boys in a rural setting that promotes community and natural living.
Jessica is the owner of Catalyst Marketing in Sechelt, a boutique, Social Media, Advertising and PR Agency. She helps real estate, tourism and lifestyle brands tell their story in the online space. As a consultant, she leads online campaigns in Web Design, Social Media and Public Relations, and to date has garnered her client’s over 3M dollars in new business. Currently, she manages clients across the Sunshine Coast and in Vancouver.
Jessica loves working in the community, she is an active member with the Sunshine Coast Rotary Club. She is also the Marketing Director with the Coast Community Builders Association. An advocate for small business and sustainable development, she believes all communities deserve to thrive responsibly.
Graham and his wife Kate emigrated from England to Vancouver in 2006, and they have resided in Sechelt for over five years along with their daughter, Matilda (7).
After a long and successful career in IT spent working at a large UK Police Constabulary and at the University Of British Columbia, Graham settled in Sechelt to spend more time with his family.
Having always wanted to be actively involved with the local community, Graham created a local social media group focused on engaging residents, promoting local businesses, and encouraging dialogue and discussion. It has successfully grown over the years and currently numbers over 2000 members.
Graham has worked several jobs within a variety of sectors in the community — from tourism (as a kayak guide), to retail and deliveries— through which he has met with many tourists, businesses and individuals.
Joining the Sechelt Chamber of Commerce, he hopes to continue his role in the community by encouraging sustainable growth through business representation and local advocacy during a time of growth and change on the Coast. He hopes to help make it a place where all generations can live, work and thrive together.
Straight Up Climbing
Carolyn and her husband Geoff moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2009 having spent most of their working lives as Realtors on the North Shore. When entertaining the idea of semi-retirement ,retirement, they had many options available to them and chose Sechelt. Since moving here in 2009, they have both taken an active interest in seeing their chosen community survive and thrive which led them to becoming vocal in local politics, speaking out when they saw fit. It was as a result of this interest that Carolyn decided to join the Chamber with the hope of taking a more active role in helping Sechelt to reach its full potential and truly become a place where one can live, work and play!
Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, Brad is a Chartered Investment Manager with Sun Life Financial. His role with Sun Life is to advise families and businesses on strategies to help them grow their investments and to protect themselves, their loved ones and businesses through insurance solutions. Brad graduated from the Financial Management Program at BCIT with a focus on Financial Planning and has spent the past decade in the Financial Services industry.
Brad is not only active with the Chamber but also with the Sechelt Rotary Club participating in the various projects and initiatives within the community.
Nick is the General Manager and part owner of The Bricker Cider Company in West Sechelt. Originally from the UK, Nick is married into a Sunshine Coast family and loves to spread the word about our beautiful area of BC.
An entrepreneur at heart, Nick has managed tourism, entertainment and retail businesses and hopes his experience in starting a new business on the Sunshine Coast can be paid forward to new, young business owners looking to make the coast their long-term homes.
